A red acrylic cover is included, allowing you to check on your colony without fully exposing them to light. Each modular port also features a closeable gate, making expansions simple and stress-free. Just open, connect, and you’re ready to go. The 2:1 layout means two side exits and one front exit, ideal for straightforward and controlled expansions. For added peace of mind, you can also add an optional blackout cover to simulate the natural darkness of underground nests and keep your colony at ease

Tips
- You can also hydrate the plaster nest directly between the acrylic, and it will soak it up, for those species who love humidity that extra bit more.
- For exotic species, it is recommended to heat the nest before moving the ants inside so you can monitor the temperatures within the nest and adjust it to their needs.
- For exotic species, be sure to provide a heat gradient so the ants can pick and choose where to sit.
