This 4 type seed mix is favored by mature colonies of Messor and other types of harvester ants. A good variety is very important for a harvester ant colony's health! From small seeds to large seeds, it will no doubt contain something your colony will love! This mix is more suitable for a larger Messor colony that are now producing majors. This will allow the larger seeds to be accessible via the larger mandibles of the major. They can be fed to founding colonies of harvester ants too but its recommended to crush them first.
 
This is the seed mix I use to raise my personal colony of my Messor. As seeds are about 80% of the harvester ants diet, its important to give them access to a variety of seeds. This seed mix can be fed along side the chia seed mix too.
